#BeBraveBG

WHAT IS THE #BEBRAVEBG CAMPAIGN?

BeBraveBG’s mission is to be a source of hope and encouragement for the unseen, unheard and under appreciated in our community. This month’s campaign is to support the staff, volunteers, and students served by the GEO Center.

ABOUT THE GEO CENTER

Did you know there are over 25 languages and dialects spoken by diverse student body of the Warren County District School System? The GEO Center opened in 2011 to serve as a “Welcome Center” for students that come from background languages other than English. Since 2011, the staff at the GEO Center has enrolled over 1,400 students. The GEO Center was started to provide enrollment services, english language proficiency screening and English language development programs if the child is eligible. Join us in encouraging the staff, volunteers and students served by the GEO Center this month!

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

We need diapers and small hygiene items for the families served by the GEO Center. They need to know we are praying for them and appreciate all they are doing!

WHERE DO WE TAKE ITEMS FOR DONATION?

You can take items to the bins under the awnings at the Greenwood or Melrose campuses on Saturday, September 19th between 9am and 5pm. The bins help us to maintain social distancing. This a monthly project, so mark the 19th of each month on your calendar and be watching for more details!
