It can be really hard to make friends as an adult. When my son was born in 2012, I realized that even after living for three years in the same place, we had no close friends or family to lean on. Since then, we’ve lived in three different states, and I’ve figured out that if I want to have friends, it takes some work. In this session we’ll talk about these processes: about learning to love and accept ourselves, remembering the names of people we’ve met, embracing the awkward, and being okay with rejection. We’ll also talk to one another about the challenges and rewards of making new friends, because life is a journey that is best traveled together.
