Growth Group Sign Ups

April 9 - April 12

  • This event has passed.

Growth Groups are a simple but meaningful way to build connection beyond Sunday mornings. These short-term groups create space for conversation, shared experiences, and growing in faith alongside others. Whether you’re new or have been here for years, Growth Groups help turn a large church into a smaller community where you can be known, supported, and encouraged.

Digital Fast

Screens, Screens, Screens. So many screens, so little time. Screens can offer us a great convenience, but if not given care, also serve as a problematic life distraction. The Digital Fast offers a pathway towards reclaiming the utility of screens while reconnecting us to opportunities we’ve been distracted from. Participants will be coached towards establishing personal screen boundaries and re-imagining healthy and thriving rhythms of faith and relationships.

Beginning April 12 for 4 weeks | Sundays at 4:30pm

Exploring the Good Place: Season 4 Wrap Up

What does it mean to be good, and how do our choices shape who we become? Join us as we continue to explore these questions through the lens of The Good Place, Season ?. This growth group will dive into themes of second chances, redemption, and the ways we influence one another’s journeys, reflecting on how they align with Christian teachings, particularly within the Methodist tradition. Through thought-provoking discussions, we’ll consider how faith calls us to grow in grace, practice forgiveness, and build community. No philosophy degree required – just a curious heart and an open mind!

Hell Bent

There is a black hole at the center of Christian spirituality: the doctrine of hell. No matter how hard we try to believe in a loving God, the fear of eternal torment always lurks at the back of our minds, warping our sense of what love means. Worse still, many churches act as if the point of Christianity is not to follow Jesus but to secure a get-out-of-hell-free card—and to “save” everyone you know by converting them to their religion. For many of us, the whole story of Christianity has punishment at the very center. But does the Bible really say we’re going to hell if we don’t do or believe the “right” things? This group will take an honest look at scripture to reveal what has been true all along: Hell isn’t real, and God’s universal love is radically inclusive, in this life and the next. Hell Bent is the perfect resource to help you replace fear and church hurt with healing and peace.

Worthy

We allow many things to define our identity and worth: relationship status, career plans, and passions. But none of these truly satisfy. Relationships, jobs, and passions can change. They do not last into eternity. When we allow these pursuits to define who we are, we navigate life insecure and longing to know our true selves.

Worthy is a 4-week digital Bible study on identity in Christ. It explores the titles we have through our relationship with Jesus: child, heir, slave, and saint. Jesus Christ alone is worthy to bear these titles. In our fallen condition, our only identity is rebellious sin. But, by His grace, Jesus unites us to Himself, covers us in His image, and bestows worth to our fallenness. Books available for purchase ($11) when the class meets.
