Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday (March 29th at all regular service times) is the Sunday before Easter, named for the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem as people waved palm branches and laid their cloaks on the road in celebration—something like an ancient parade.
Palm Sunday begins Holy Week, a time when Christians remember the events leading to Jesus’ death and resurrection. It’s a paradoxical celebration: we rejoice in Jesus’ welcome even as we remember the suffering that followed.
This Sunday invites us to wonder, celebrating a God who still surprises us and pointing us toward the miracle of the Resurrection to come.
