Can I Get a Witness? (GW)

A lot of us don’t know what we should be doing right now. This series is about finding our purpose in a world that is chaotic—grounding our lives in the basic Christian vocation to be witnesses of Jesus Christ. Now, “witness” is a word with a lot of baggage. We may think of someone pressuring us to believe something or religious words used to convince us. But the way “witness” is used in the Bible is much broader and more powerful. Before Jesus ascended into heaven he told his disciples that they should wait on the Holy Spirit and that they would be his witnesses to the ends of the earth.  Christ’s vision was that there would be a community empowered by the Holy Spirit to anticipate, notice, name and join God’s salvation as it breaks forth in the world.  What if we just did that?  Join us as we talk about how.
