Frequently Asked Questions

Can I preview worship or past sermons before my visit?

Yes! You can join us for a live stream of Sunday worship at our 9:30 am Contemporary Service at the Melrose Campus here on Sunday mornings. You can also listen to our sermon podcasts here to hear from our Senior Pastor Adam Shourds, Greenwood Campus Pastor Wayne Hunter, or Pathway Minister Wendell VanValin.

What do you believe?

You can learn more about our beliefs as a United Methodist Church here on our About Us page.

What can I expect on my first visit?

Hospitality–expect real people, a smile, music and a relevant message. You can wear a suit or jeans and take your coffee anywhere. Welcome hosts and signs are located throughout the church to help you find your way around. Have a gluten sensitivity? We offer gluten-free communion at all worship services once a month, or each Sunday during our 8:15 am traditional service the Melrose Campus.

Children and Youth–expect a commitment to the safety of young people, trained volunteers and a strategy to engage them in age-appropriate ways. Check in quickly and easily with our electronic check-in system.

A mission that matters–expect to have opportunities to serve the community or join a group to serve and grow. Expect a church that wants to make a difference and change lives!

Are there opportunities to connect with and learn more about Broadway?

Yes. We have many opportunities for you and your family to connect with the Broadway family.

On your first visit after worship you and your family will have the opportunity to meet our pastors. Pastor Adam will be available in the Atrium following the 9:30 am service and in the Welcome Center following the 11 am service at the Melrose Campus. Pastor Wayne will be available in the Welcome Center following the 9 & 10:30 am services at the Greenwood Campus.

Adults are invited to attend Coffee & Conversation where you can tour Broadway with our pastors and ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. We also offer a Dinner With the Pastors where you can enjoy a meal with the pastors and staff.

Families are invited to experience Kids Zone and/or the Student Ministry on Sunday mornings for ways to connect with our family ministries here at Broadway.
